The Truth About Pyramid Schemes: Why I Can’t Stand Them
Pyramid schemes

Pyramid schemes are everywhere, preying on people’s emotions and vulnerabilities. They promise wealth, success, and freedom, but behind the façade lies a system built on manipulation, lies, and exploitation. I know this all too well because I’ve been there.

My Personal Experience

I’ve been involved in many of these schemes over the years, and I’ve probably lost thousands of dollars chasing the promises they sell. ICOs, crypto marketing schemes, Herbalife, Traffic Monsoon—you name it, I’ve likely tried it.

Sure, I made a little money here and there, but it was never the kind of life-changing wealth they promised. Every time, I felt like I was just one step away from success, but the reality was clear: the ones at the top were laughing, raking in the profits while the rest of us scrambled.

These schemes are designed to exploit hope and vulnerability, and they’re shockingly good at it. The leaders know exactly how to play on people’s dreams, fears, and desires for a better life. And that’s why I’m writing this—so you don’t fall for it like I did.

The Same Old Tricks

Recently, I stumbled across one of my old team leaders on one of my older YouTube accounts. I couldn’t believe it—they were still up to the same tricks, using the same tactics, but now with a following of over 10,000 subscribers. They’re still growing, still pushing the same narrative, and still recruiting vulnerable people into the trap.

I won’t name names, but this post isn’t about calling anyone out. It’s about drawing awareness. These schemes are not opportunities to change your life—they’re traps designed to make the rich richer at your expense.

Why I Can’t Stand These Schemes

  1. False Promises
They promise wealth, freedom, and success, but the reality is that the majority lose money. Only a select few at the top ever see significant profits, and they’re the ones exploiting everyone else to get there.
  2. Emotional Manipulation
They prey on your hopes, fears, and desperation. They know exactly how to make you believe that if you just work harder, spend more, or recruit a few more people, you’ll finally “make it.”
  3. Exploitation of the Vulnerable
They target those who are already struggling—people looking for a way out of poverty or financial stress. These schemes don’t lift people up; they pull them further down.
  4. Temporary Success for the Leaders
The leaders think they’re getting away with it, but their success is temporary. God sees everything, and no amount of money can erase the damage they’ve caused or the moral failures of their actions.

A Warning to Others

I’ve learned my lesson the hard way, and I don’t want others to make the same mistakes I did. These schemes are seductive, but they’re built on lies and exploitation. If you’re approached by someone promising easy money or life-changing opportunities, be skeptical. Ask yourself who’s really benefiting.

To those who run these schemes: your lack of respect for others is appalling. You’re building your success on the pain and struggles of others, and that’s not something to be proud of.

Final Thoughts

If you’re involved in one of these schemes or thinking about joining, take a step back. Look at the facts. Most people lose money, relationships are strained, and dreams are crushed. These schemes don’t build success—they destroy lives.

And to the leaders? You might be laughing now, but remember, you can’t outrun accountability forever. God sees everything, and your actions will catch up with you eventually.

Let this post serve as a warning and a lesson. Don’t let yourself get scammed. Learn from my mistakes, and don’t let these schemes steal your time, money, and hope. Stay aware, stay vigilant, and above all, stay true to yourself.
