In the dance of existence, where contrasts play,
Shakespeare whispered, “All the world’s a stage.”
Act versus fact, a timeless display,
In laws of men and divine, wisdom’s sage.
Parliamentary decrees, ink on the page,
Versus commandments carved by the divine hand,
Ego and true self, in an eternal cage,
Fruit with life’s seed versus barren sand.
Humans craft robots, flesh versus code,
Man and machine, in silent debate,
Grass breathes life, while the artificial abode,
Sunlight’s caress versus streetlights sedate.
Concrete jungles rise, nature’s retreat,
Television dreams, imagination’s feat,
Right versus wrong, life’s constant tweet,
Your essence, your hair, versus weaves’ deceit.
Teeth born from you, versus those you acquire,
Natural birth’s miracle, versus science’s hire,
These contrasts, these choices, a perpetual fire,
In this poem, this philosophy, we aspire.
To see beyond the surface, the tangible, the known,
To question, to wonder, at the seeds we’ve sown,
In life’s grand tapestry, intricately sewn,
Contrasts and choices, are forever shown.
